just finished puzzle with the word "wee" in twice. One word at the bottom with a shared w for wee and wed. The wee that worked was at the top left. Seemed odd! Pause would be good. After puzzle would enjoy checking puzzle, and meaning of words instead of going to blackout of puzzle. Thanks for the fun.

Add a Button to pause the game when called away from the game especially for timed games
Were is the answers column located ?

Include an option to pause the game when the phone rings or other emergency. The game should blank out when paused. This feature would be a good for other games too
Reply from Rick: Not having a pause was definitely an oversight on my part. I guess I thought it wasn't a big deal, since all it would do is pause the timer, but a lot of people want it.

A button is needed that "solves" the puzzle by highlighting the words still not found. Of course, this would end the game.

Am really looking forward to a PAUSE button!!
"PRESS ESC" INSTRUCTION WHEN GOING TO FULL SCREEN, MESSES UP TIMING BECAUSE IT'S SLOW TO FADE OUT AND WORDS ARE OFTEN UNDERNEATH.
Reply from Rick: I can not remove that. It's actually a feature of the flash player and unfortunately it always shows up even if you've seen it dozens of times. There's not really anything I can do to remove it.

Hey Rick why don't you look to add some sort of global ranking for the best times. I've finished the crossword puzzle in 2:04 :) and I would want to see how I rank in comparison to others who play this game.

That's something that I've been thinking about for a long time. There are 2 stumbling blocks right now.
1.) I'd need to require a log in
2.) I'd need to prevent people from cheating.
Right now I don't have a good solution for either issue. It's something I've wanted to do for a while now, but haven't gotten around to figuring out the best way to do it.

It would be great if you can make it so you can check what the word means after the game is finished. There are some I'd like to know, but I'm racing the clock and don't get the chance to find it's meaning.

There are usually a few words in the crosswords that arent words listed. It would be nice to list all words, or just not include the extras
Reply from Rick: I've never seen a puzzle that has extra words. The last couple of words are sometimes hard to find (especially diagonals), but I've played the game thousands of times and never run into a case where you can't eventually find the last few words.
What I do when I'm down to the last few is go through every letter in the grid and look at all the adjacent letters. It's time consuming, but I've always been able to find the last few words this way.
At some point I should add a hint button to show you where the missing word is.

good game will help improve scrabble results just wish it was bigger on the screen can cause headaches at ths size

Everything *is not* a "New Record!" That particular bug (signifying each completed game) as a "New Record" detracts from what is an excellent test of vocabulary, otherwise. Either keep track of times accurately, or just move on to a new game.
Reply from Rick: The 'New Record' box is only supposed to show up when you have a new best time. That's a bug I'll need to fix as soon as I get a chance.

Reply from Rick: It's something I'm going to add next time I do an update, but it's kind of low on my list since the only thing it would do is pause the timer. It sounds like a lot of players take their best time rather seriously, so I don't want to trivialize the issue, but I do have other games that have bugs that require more immediate attention.
It's a good idea but there might be a bit of a wait for it.

I suggest that you check some of the definitions. In my opinion some are wrong or maybe we use different dictionaries. I do find my vocabulary improving however, do not know if I'll ever use some of the words in sentences.

May I suggest, some of the words, I have never heard of. I don't like to have words that don't make sense. Made up words is not a fair puzzle. Especially when someone has an 8th grade reading level. It's not fair.
Reply from Rick: None of the words are made up. If you hover over the words you on the left side it will give you a definition. All the words are scrabble legal as well.
